Why you should be careful about buying the Amazon Alexa smart home device
The Amazon Echo smart speaker, a device that connects to a home automation system and plays music, has been an impressive success.
Now, Amazon is launching a new line of floor lamps that have been engineered specifically to mimic a real-life fireplace.
The company says its products are more versatile than a traditional fireplace and can play music, light candles, and even cook meals.
But while these products look and feel a lot like a traditional kitchen appliance, they are also designed to mimic the real world of a fireplace, says Matt Kibler, vice president of product marketing at Amazon Echo.
And these floor lamps have some notable downsides, such as being too heavy for your home’s interior, or they can be difficult to operate.
The Echo devices are being developed by an all-new team, with a focus on automation and automation technology, says Kiblers partner Jason Lee.
Amazon Echo and the Echo Dot are designed to play music.
Kibers team is also working with a few other hardware manufacturers to make sure their products look like a real fireplace, he adds.
For now, Amazon Echo devices and the new floor lamps will only be available in select markets, and will only come in a white or gray color.

You will need to find a place to set the device, and you will need the right accessories.
But Kibels team is working to make these products available in larger and more diverse markets in the future, he says.
